Giving Back

We consider ourselves fortunate to live and work in the communities we serve, and that is why PeoplesBank is committed to supporting local organizations by sharing both our financial resources and our time. Whether we’re providing money to help fund special programs or serving on local non-profit boards, we believe in the spirit of giving. Here are just a few examples of how PeoplesBank is giving back to our community.

PeoplesBank Donates New Vehicle To York Police

PeoplesBank is committed to doing all that we can to help make the communities we serve safe and vibrant places in which to live, work, and play.  That’s why we were pleased to donate a new T3 Patroller unit to the City of York police.  Along with the three Segways we have previously donated, this electric vehicle will be used in downtown patrolling efforts and community outreach programs.  We consider it our privilege to be able to help those who help us on a daily basis.

PeoplesBank Shows A Soft Side

Melissa Smith, Executive Director (Left), of the York County SPCA was pleased to meet with Nathan Eifert (Right), Director of Marketing at PeoplesBank. During this meeting Mr. Eifert presented a check to the York County SPCA for $2,100. This money was collected through a special program called “Pennies for Puppies, and Kittens too!” in 2012 at each of our financial centers.

Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

A group of 22 PeoplesBank employees and their family members recently joined the YWCA at their Walk A Mile In Her Shoes event to help raise awareness and funds for programs designed to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault. The brave men on our team got into the spirit of the event and did “walk a mile in her shoes” by donning high heels for the one-mile walk! Together the PeoplesBank team raised over $2,400 in donations and sponsorships for the YWCA.
