PeoplesBank has been notified of a security breach which occurred at 63 Barnes & Noble bookstores across the country. The breach involves PIN pads used for debit card payments at the cash registers. Of the 63 stores involved, two were located in Pennsylvania (Homestead and Pittsburgh). No Maryland stores were affected. If you traveled out of the area recently, shopped at a Barnes & Noble store, and used your PeoplesBank VISA® Check Card to pay for your purchase, you should review your account and notify us immediately if you find any unauthorized purchases.
Purchases made on Barnes & Noble.com, NOOK, and NOOK mobile apps were not affected.
