We were proud to sponsor the 11th Annual HomeRuns for the Homeless event in Aberdeen, Maryland. The focus of this fundraiser was to raise money for homeless families with children, with proceeds benefiting the Harford Family House.
Harford Family House was established in 1989 by the nine Episcopal Churches in Harford County to shelter families with children experiencing homelessness. Starting with a single housing unit, they have grown to 37 housing units and continue to expand. In addition to shelter for families, Harford Family House provides:
- Education in life skills, job readiness and personal growth
- Individualized case management to help each family overcome the root cause of their homelessness
- Referrals to partner agencies
- Personal connection to the community through local churches and volunteers
