Larry Miller Recognized for 50 Years of Service

PeoplesBank is pleased to recognize Mr. Larry J. Miller for 50 years of service to PeoplesBank, the community, and the banking industry. On March 1, 1971, Mr. Miller joined PeoplesBank (then known as Peoples Bank of Glen Rock) as a management trainee. Today, Larry serves as the Executive Chairman of PeoplesBank and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Codorus Valley Bancorp, Inc.

Larry Miller’s long tenure in leading the bank from four financial centers to the largest financial institution headquartered in York County over a 50-year period is a rarity. Mr. Miller served as Chief Executive Officer of PeoplesBank for 35 years and as Chief Executive Officer of Codorus Valley Bancorp, Inc. over the last 34 years where he continues to hold that role today. When he joined the bank in 1971, PeoplesBank had $23 million in assets. Through his leadership, the bank has grown today to over $2 billion in assets.
