#PeoplesGivesBack February 15, 2018 PeoplesBank recently gathered representatives of seventy organizations throughout South Central Pennsylvania in the York County Agricultural and Industrial Museum to present them with checks totaling $950,000. These funds represent contributions made by PeoplesBank through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. “We are delighted to have increased our funding through the EITC program this year, which has allowed us to support more local organizations as they focus on improving the educational programs throughout our community,” said Larry J. About the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program Established in 2001, the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program provides incentives to businesses and non-profit entities for the purpose of developing and funding innovative educational programs. Innovative educational programs are defined as programs that are not part of the regular academic program of a public school but that enhance the curriculum or academic program of the public school.
