PeoplesBank, A Codorus Valley Company, will be launching a fresh approach to the banking experience at its new location anticipated to open in Spring 2020. This new Connections Center concept will be located at 101 N Queen Street in 101NQ, a newly updated mixed use building located in the heart of Lancaster City. This new venture comes a little over a year since their first full-service location opened in Lancaster at 2343 Oregon Pike.
The goal of the Connections Center will be to move beyond the typical discussions around products to having meaningful conversations with clients about their lifestyle and desired future. Debuting at this location will be the ability for visitors to create a personal or business vision board using an interactive screen. This unique approach shifts the staff from a traditional banker role to a financial mentor, helping to move clients towards their goals and dreams based on their current situation.
This signature experience will be accompanied by relaxed seating areas, including booth seating, high top tables, and conversation areas. There will be no desks at this location and the teller line will be located in the back of the Connections Center as a secondary feature. Clients will be able to self-serve with concierge staff on hand to offer assistance so they can walk out fully enabled to bank on all devices.

We have identified Lancaster City as a high growth market that is currently underserved and we are happy to provide a solution for consumers and businesses who are visiting their local branch less often,” remarked Craig Kauffman, President and CEO.
The Connections Center will also offer a versatile space to be used as community resource. “We plan to offer financial literacy classes, open up our conference room with videoconferencing capabilities to local non-profits and small businesses, and participate in community events. The possibilities are endless as to how we can support our community at this location,” stated Chad Clabaugh, SVP Retail Sales & Service.
PeoplesBank has been serving the Lancaster market since 2016 with the opening of their Business Banking Center located off Centerville Road. They also operate a full-service location on the Oregon Pike and five Retirement Community Banking offices in Lancaster County.
