Congratulations to Stacey Witmer on being one of our Redeem Your Dreams winners! She’s won $2,000 to put towards the widening of her bathroom and installing a walk-in shower for safety reasons.
Stacey’s Story
Stacey was born in York, raised in Hanover, and has since then, moved back to York. After working as an Administrative Assistant for years, Stacey decided to go back to school for Medical Coding and Billing in her 30’s. She has been unable to work for the past two years, and has been on disability, after suffering an aneurysm that has left her with migraines that cause her to become dizzy and lose her balance. Outside of the home, Stacey uses a walker to get around due to the fear of falling.
Stacey plans to use the $2,000 to expand the size of her bathroom and install a walk-in shower. She has already been working with the York Planning Commission to get assistance with these changes, and the $2,000 would help complete the remodeling. These changes would make her life easier. She would no longer have to hold on to safety bars to step out of the tub and risk falling.
