My Town, My Bank

PeoplesBank is more than just a community bank, we’re different. Our name says it all – we’re people first, bank second. We focus on providing local, personalized services for all of our clients and building lifelong relationships. We’ve been serving the region for more than a century and a half and we’ve gotten to know and love the communities where we live, work, and play. At PeoplesBank, you’re more than just a number, you’re welcome here!

Who Are We?

Our doors opened in 1864 with $50,000 in capital and began operating during one of the most volatile moments in our nation’s history. Despite the challenges, we’ve grown. Today, PeoplesBank has more than $1.6 billion in assets and is the largest independent financial institution based in York County, Pennsylvania. Our roots may have been planted in Pennsylvania, but we’ve branched out to share our exceptional service with new communities across state and county lines. Our locations serve clients from South Central Pennsylvania to Northern Maryland, providing them with financial products and services to meet their needs and reach their goals. It’s safe to say that we’ve experienced a lot of change in 153 years. However, one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to our clients and communities. In 1864, our original founders envisioned a bank for the people, where the community could go for financial services, guidance, and advice to enrich their lives. Today, more than 150 years later, we’re still fully committed to that mission and the personalized service we’re known for.
