First Front Door (FFD) Keys to Equity Program
Through the First Front Door (FFD) Keys to Equity program, when you contribute a minimum of $1,000 toward down payment and closing costs, you may be eligible for a maximum grant of $20,000. This program is available starting April 16, 2024, but PeoplesBank can help clients reserve awards now. Funds can be reserved for six months, even if you have not selected a home yet. To qualify, an applicant must:
- Be a minority* first-time homebuyer, which means you haven’t owned a home in the past three years, or a first-generation homebuyer (whose parents or grandparents did not own a home)
- Simultaneously secure a first mortgage on the same property through PeoplesBank
- Have an income at or below 120 percent of the area median income at the time of registration
- Complete at least four hours of homeownership counseling prior to purchasing the home
