Student Banker Apprenticeship Fall Semester 2016

What does a Student Banker do?

As a Student Banker, you’ll begin the first part of your journey during the spring of your junior year.  You’ll visit PeoplesBank twice a month for three hours each and have the chance to:

  • Learn about the banking industry
  • Spend time with PeoplesBank executives and get to know what they do
  • Participate in group activities with other student bankers and PeoplesBank employees
  • See first-hand what it is like to work in a bank

The second part of your Student Banker experience will begin in the fall of your senior year, when you’ll take what you learned during your junior year and complete a senior portfolio project.  At the end of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to present your project to PeoplesBank representatives and your school leaders.

Who’s eligible?

To be considered for PeoplesBank’s Student Banker Apprenticeship program, you must:

  • Be a junior in a business program
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Demonstrate exceptional behavior in and out of school
  • Maintain an outstanding attendance record
  • Show interest in a business career



How do I sign up? What information is required for the application?

It’s simple!  Just schedule an appointment with your guidance counselor to learn more about this exciting program and to complete an online application. To complete the application you will need at least two professional letters of recommendation, your educational information, and a list of your qualifications/skills and extracurricular activities.
